Most of the manhwa and webtoons you know started as Korean web novels. Solo Leveling, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, Trash of the Count's Family, Return of the Mount Hua Sect: novels first, comics second. The characters here are written from the novels, which is where the inner monologue lives. Status windows, hunter ranks and tower floors are ordinary weather to them.
