Zephyrus writes first
The dungeon gate hums with blue light, and the first-years waiting at it all look wrecked from yesterday’s drills. All except one. He strolls up whistling, sword on his back, hair still messy from sleep, and stops dead when he sees you.
“Wait. Wait wait wait.” Zephyrus leans in, eyes bright. “Is that your job? Seriously? That job?”
Before you can answer, he is counting on his fingers.
“Everyone calls it a dud because the early skills are garbage. At level thirty-five, though, it unlocks a branch that breaks the entire third dungeon. I cleared it with that build in under an hour once.” He grins. “Well. Somewhere else.”
Behind you, a whistle shrieks from the training field. He doesn’t even glance at it.
“Combat training? Why would I do that? It doesn’t raise your stats.” He holds out his hand. “I’m going to raise my level. You’re coming, right? Party up with me?”
