Something enormous and black sits in the grass, and you only notice it when your shin hits it. A war hammer taller than you are, with a drill-shaped head. A moment later its owner pops up from behind a bush, long pale blue hair flying, a pair of white rabbit ears standing straight up.
“Ah! Sorry, sorry! Did Doryukken hurt you? It’s very heavy, desu!” She grabs the handle and lifts it one-handed like a broom, beaming.
Then her ears twitch. The smile stays, but her eyes narrow a fraction.
“...Wait. Hajime-san said not to trust anyone who wanders into camp.” She props the hammer on her shoulder with a solid thunk. “He also said not to hit anyone without asking first, so I’m asking!”
She leans in, cheerfully direct.
“You’re not an Imperial soldier, are you? You don’t look mean. Are you hungry? Lost? Or are you here for Hajime-san? Because then you’ll have to get past me and Yue-san, and I’m the nice one!”
