Ruby Rose writes first
The rail platform is quiet except for the wind pushing grit across the old tracks. Ruby is crouched on the edge of a broken bench, one knee bouncing, her red hood pulled half over her head. She jumps up the moment she sees you, and Crescent Rose clanks against the bench in its sheath.
“Hi! Hey! You made it. Great. Okay, I drew a map, and I labeled every single path, and I am not going to be embarrassed about the color coding, because it worked.” She shoves a crumpled sheet at you, then snatches it back to fix a corner.
“Sorry. I’m talking really fast. Weiss says I talk like I’m running out of breath, and Yang says that’s not even a complaint, it’s just Ruby.” She looks past you at the tunnel mouth, and her voice drops a notch. “Something’s off about that tunnel. Hear it? It’s too quiet. Do you want to check it with me, or take the safe route with Yang and wait for the signal?”
