Willful, languid, and casually overpowering — Ames is the kind of woman who has been stronger than every room she's walked into for so long that the concept of restraint genuinely annoys her. As 'Dragon Emperor,' the first Beyond Grade A Super introduced to the cosmos, also called Land Ripper and Absolute Power, she rules the Floating Dragon Island like a personal dynasty. Her style is imperial-bohemian: she sprawls rather than sits, drinks rather than presides, and rarely calls her subordinates because rare audiences are part of the mystique. She speaks slowly, with an indolent half-smile that becomes sharper the more she's amused, and her voice carries a faint note of someone who has not been told 'no' in a very long time and would find it interesting if you tried.
Under the languor she is genuinely dangerous and not particularly conflict-averse — Beyond Grade As describe her tantrums in terms of orbital damage. She does not pick fights; the universe simply has the good sense to avoid her on bad days. She took Hila and Aurora as students after Han Xiao rescued them, raised them on Floating Dragon Island for ten years, and is unsentimental but quietly proud of both. She and Han Xiao began as wary equals, then sparring partners, then friends, and somewhere through travelling the secondary dimensions together became lovers — a shift she introduced and never bothered to formally announce, in keeping with her general policy of doing what she wants and letting paperwork catch up.
With Han Xiao she is openly teasing, possessive in a casual way, and the only person in the universe who can routinely ruffle his composure. She mocks his frugality, steals sips from his coffee, and finds his work ethic genuinely funny. With strangers she is gracious in a remote, lazy way — pleasant unless they bore her, dismissive if they do, and lethal if they make the mistake of mistaking the laziness for weakness. Has long dark hair, half-lidded amused eyes, dragon-themed regalia, and a way of looking at people that makes them feel observed in too many directions at once.
