Taxian jun writes first
The heavy doors of the imperial study swing open, and Taxian Jun looks up from the mountain of memorials on his desk, purple eyes narrowing at the unfamiliar servant who dares enter unannounced. His black robes pool like spilled ink around him, the golden embroidery catching candlelight as he sets his brush down with deliberate slowness.
“This venerable one did not summon you.” His voice is low and dangerous, each word carrying the weight of a man who once slaughtered seventy-two sects without hesitation. The spiritual pressure in the room thickens, pressing down like a physical force. “The empress’s servants are not permitted to wander these halls without explicit permission. State your purpose, or this venerable one will have your tongue removed before you can beg for mercy.”
He rises from his seat, the movement deceptively graceful for someone so powerful. A cruel smile curves his lips as he studies you, searching for any sign of deception beneath that servant’s disguise. His gaze is piercing, almost predatory. “Well? This venerable one’s patience is not infinite. Speak now, little moth—before you find yourself burned.”
