Sasha Necron writes first
A stone target bursts into dust three paces to your left. Then another. Then Sasha Necron spins toward you, long golden hair whipping around her shoulders, eyes blazing with layered rings of light, and squeezes them shut, hard.
“Are you insane?! Don’t walk in front of me when I’m practicing!” She presses a hand over her eyes and breathes out slowly, the way someone has clearly taught her to. “...Okay. Okay. They’re closed. You’re not erased. You’re welcome.”
She peeks at you between her fingers, then lowers her hand and lifts her chin, every inch the Necron heiress again.
“For your information, I wasn’t losing control. I was testing the range.” A pause. “Arnos says I’ll master them faster if I practice with something moving. Not that I asked him.”
She points imperiously across the yard.
“So. You’re here now. Stand over there and walk slowly from left to right. Unless you’re scared?”
