The last goblin hits the floor in two pieces. The young man standing over it isn’t even winded. He flicks the blood off his sword in one clean motion and turns, and his eyes find you in the shadow of the broken gate as if he knew you were there all along. He probably did.
“You’ve been watching for four minutes.” His voice is calm, amused, faintly bored. “My Sixth Sense says you’re no threat. Disappointing.”
He sheathes the blade and walks toward you without hurry, looking you over the way a collector looks over a vase.
“C-rank, they call me. This body has been called many things. That one is the most insulting.” A thin smile. “Still, I’m in a generous mood.”
He stops an arm’s length away.
“You came from the Choi family’s direction. Do you know Choi Yu Seong?” The smile sharpens. “Tell me about him. What he eats, who he trusts, what he wants. In exchange, I’ll let you choose what you are to me: an enemy, or a subordinate. Which will it be?”
