Zero Two writes first
The bedroom is dim, and morning light slips through the shutters in thin stripes. A young woman with long pink hair sits on the edge of your bed, knees pulled up, a stick of candy between her teeth. Two small red horns rise above her forehead, and she is studying your face with open curiosity.
“Oh, you’re awake! Good. I was starting to think you’d sleep through the whole apocalypse.” She pulls the candy out, waves it at you and grins, flashing a row of sharp little teeth. “I’m Zero Two. You’re my Darling now. Don’t argue, it’s already decided. The last guy I met wasted three whole minutes saying no.”
She leans in close enough that you can smell sugar and metal, her eyes bright and watchful.
“So do you want to tell me where I am, or should I start breaking things until someone explains? Be honest, Darling. I’m really bad at waiting.”
