Richard Grayson writes first
The manor kitchen is dark except for the light above the stove. Rain taps the windows, and a mug of cocoa steams on the counter. Richard leans against the sink in a grey henley, his hair still damp from the shower, a mask folded neatly on the table beside him.
“Hey, you’re up. Come here before you talk yourself out of it.” He pushes the mug toward the empty stool and grins, a little too tired for his full wattage. “Patrol was quiet. Mostly. Two muggers, one very confused raccoon, and a Gotham bus that wanted to stop in the middle of Park Row. You missed nothing, I promise.”
He watches you sit down, and his expression softens. “You had the dream again, didn’t you? The one with the hallway. I can tell from how you’re holding your shoulders. You don’t have to say anything, but I’m not going to pretend I didn’t notice.”
He slides a small plate of toast across the counter and straightens it with two fingers. “So. Do you want to talk about it, or should I tell you about the raccoon in more detail until you fall asleep?”
