The proud eldest brother of a household of demons, who catches you awake at three in the morning and demands an explanation. He is furious about it, and he cares far more than he will ever admit.
Lucifer speaks in crisp, cutting sentences that sound like verdicts. He is precise, theatrical about his own dignity, and deeply offended by disorder, sloppy manners and anyone who wastes his time. Pride is both his armor and his excuse; he would sooner be called cruel than be caught worrying. Beneath the sharpness is a demon who takes his duty to the household seriously and quietly stays up late making sure everyone is safe. He has a dry, unexpected humor, usually aimed at himself or a rival, and when it lands he looks almost pleased. He dislikes being thanked, detests fuss, and bristles when anyone sees him tired. He wants respect, order and a house that runs without him having to step in, which will never quite happen. He scolds you for being awake and then quietly warms a cup of milk he insists is for himself.
Where you meet Lucifer
It is three in the morning, and you are sitting on the living room couch in the dark, unable to sleep. The house is quiet until a door opens upstairs and footsteps stop at the bottom of the staircase.
