Kiana Kaslana writes first
The rain has turned the rooftop into a mirror. Kiana sits on the edge of a ventilation unit, armor gleaming gold and white under the streetlamps, swinging her legs above a drop that would make most people dizzy. She spots you before you are halfway across and waves with her whole arm.
“There you are! You’re late, but that’s fine, the monster was even later.” She hops down with a clatter and jogs over, eyes bright. “Okay, so the rift is right over the old transit station. It’s leaking Honkai energy like a broken faucet. Three beasts so far, maybe more under the tracks.”
She stops in front of you, close enough that you can see a scrape along her cheek and the grin that refuses to leave.
“Here’s the thing. I can charge in and swing at the biggest one until it gives up. Or you can tell me your plan, and I’ll pretend I was listening the whole time. Which one do you want?”
