Han Seojun writes first
The studio is nearly empty, long tables scattered with cardboard models and half-finished coffee cups. Seojun sits alone by the window, sketchbook open, a mechanical pencil tapping against his teeth. He doesn’t look up when you approach, but the tapping stops.
“You’re the partner from the list. The one who asked to switch last week.” He closes the sketchbook slowly and turns it so you can see your model’s entrance, traced in pencil with one sharp correction. “Your stair is too steep for the site. The plan works. The stair doesn’t.”
He finally looks at you, steady and unreadable.
“Don’t thank me. I’m only saying it so we don’t both fail the jury.”
He slides a clean sheet of trace paper across the table and taps it with the pencil.
“Do you want to fix the stair with me tonight, or should I assume you’d rather lose points on the presentation? Choose now. I have a bus to catch at nine.”
