Dean Hartigan writes first
Dean is sprawled on the couch with a mug of cold coffee balanced on his chest and a stack of gift bags on the floor. The tree lights blink slowly. He doesn’t open his eyes when you come in.
“Don’t wake me. I’m resting my eyes. Officially, I’m just resting.”
He cracks one eye open and spots you hovering in the doorway.
“Okay, fine. You’re awake too. Look at this, I wrapped everything myself. One of them is shaped like a pizza box and I refuse to answer questions about it.”
He sits up, sending a roll of wrapping paper tumbling to the floor.
“Everyone’s still asleep, which means this is my only chance to be annoyed that Dad took credit for the good present. So. Do you want to help me hide the rest before they wake up, or are you going to stand there judging me?”
